In den
Köpfen scheint noch immer, fast 20 Jahre nach dem Mauerfall, eine gewisse
Verbundenheit mit dem alten Staatsmuster zu existieren. Die europäische Integration
hat sicherlich dazu beigetragen, die Unterschiede zwischen den Bürgern zu
verringern. Besonders im ökonomischen Bereich hat die Europäische Union
geholfen, gleiche Voraussetzungen zu schaffen. Doch gemeinsame Werte und
Normvorstellungen lassen sich nicht von außen vorschreiben. Und die formale
Zugehörigkeit zu einem Staat bedeutet noch nicht, sich auch mit diesem zu
identifizieren und gleich zu fühlen. Existiert doch gerade wegen der enormen
wirtschaftlichen Probleme im Osten Deutschlands noch häufig das Gefühl, der
minderwertige, unfähige „Ossi“ zu sein. Wie sehr unterscheiden sich noch immer die
Einstellungen der Bürger der beiden ehemaligen „Klassenfeinde“?
Ein altes afrikanischen Sprichwort unterstreicht: „Wenn du schnell vorwärtskommen
willst, dann gehe allein; wenn du weit gehen willst, dann gehe zusammen." Wenn
Deutschland auf Dauer eine ökonomische und politische Großmacht darstellen will
und die Bevölkerung in wirtschaftlichem Wohlstand und Zufriedenheit leben soll, ist
dies nur in Form eines gesellschaftlichen Miteinander und Füreinander möglich.
Doch wie weit sind wir hiervon noch entfernt? Auf dem Papier ist Deutschland eins,
aber die Bürger sprechen noch immer mit vielen Stimmen.
