Dabei soll festgestellt werden, in wie weit die Stadt als Tourismusstandort geeignet
ist, indem die vorherrschenden Rahmenbedingungen untersucht so wie touristische
Analysen vorgenommen werden.
Der Autor hat sich aufgrund des nahen Bezugs zu seiner Studienrichtung sowie dem
Studienort für dieses Thema entschieden. Somit war es möglich eigene Erfahrungen
bzw. Eindrücke in die Arbeit einfließen zu lassen als auch bereits Gelerntes
anzuwenden. Das Interesse einen tieferen Einblick in diese Materie zu bekommen,
spielte bei der Wahl des Themas ebenso eine Rolle.
Die Informationen, welche zum Verfassen der Arbeit dienten, wurden hauptsächlich
dem Internet entnommen, da kaum bzw. keine gedruckte Literatur über die
gesuchten Fakten vorhanden war. Die zunächst als Hauptpunkt angestrebte Analyse
des Stadtmarketings konnte aufgrund von geplanten Umstrukturierungen in diesem
Bereich und somit fehlenden Ansprechpartnern nur teilweise durchgeführt werden.
Die Untersuchungen zum Touristenprofil Jenas waren ebenfalls tiefgründiger
geplant, jedoch musste der Autor sich auf die ihm zur Verfügung stehenden
Statistiken beschränken.
